I experimented with NewHive over the weekend and created a mood-board/ collage. I titled it 'an Uber pool during rush hour.' I'm surprised that NewHive isn't as popular as other sites like tumblr or Instagram. While navigating the site, I found that much of the content was way more creative and inspiring that the typical internet 'art' you see on blogs. Then again, other blogs sites don't provide you with same tools for creating media that NewHive does. I liked that I was able to combine almost any imaginable form of digital media in one place. Despite being easy to use, I found that creating a visually appealing collage was harder than I anticipated. Many of my first attempts of collages ended up feeling visually overcrowded or disjointed.
