For my final project, I want to make an Instagram account concerning the influence of filters, especially facial recognition. In Patrick Jagoda's “Network Ambivalence”, he talks about "an avant-garde approach of discovering new political tactics and aesthetics forms that may challenge the totality of networks”, since I believe, facial recognition, a common feature in social media photo posting, fits into the category of the “discussions commonly constituted with digital communications”, the exploration could lead to some interesting result.

For my instagram I want to post photoshopped pictures that turns a filter into real. I find this hard to explain so I attached a picture from Pewdiepie’s video “If Simpsons were Real”. I’m still coming up with a thesis surrounding this project, but it would be related to post-digital and social media.
