The final project will be an extension of my midterm Instagram poem compilation. Similarly, to the midterm, it will focus heavily on context in the sense that there is an intended meaning in the given, original context. It will also provide more support for the notion that there are infinitely different options for new context dependent on how each individual readers experiences the piece. I will give the final a twist from the midterm by changing the material in question and the method of presentation. The personal material will, instead of poetry, be live recordings of interactive conversations with real people. Their identities will be masked, and they will know they are being recorded, but the conversations will be genuine. I will also record long conversations and break them into smaller parts, removing their original context in the presentation to the listener by reorganizing them before I post them to the Instagram. This will emphasize the idea that everything has an original context that gets lost in translation, and that each viewer of the material has the unique opportunity to create their own context through having their own experience. Depending on the number of times a person views the material, they may have the opportunity to create additional unique contexts.
