We're all students at this crazy place called UCLA. Know what's so great about that? The fact that we have UCLA Memes for Sick AF Tweens. Not only are we learning in the classrooms, but we're also learning how to photoshop some crazy images, make poor images, internet ugly aesthetic images for our own enjoyment. Ever since the creation of the UCLA meme page, I've been seeing my news feed on Facebook flooded with posts. And I've got to admit, they're pretty damn hilarious. I can't believe that someone had the idea to create a meme page for anything UCLA related, because it's quite brilliant. For my final project, I have decided to scour the UCLA Memes for Sick AF Tweens Facebook page and compile them into a book with literary merit. I want it to read like a chronological book, with sections about first getting accepted into UCLA, first quarter at UCLA, dorm life, and the likes. Partitioning up the book into different categories will definitely give the work a book type of feeling, and readers can flip to whichever they feel like at the time to look at the relatable memes. My fascination for this final project really came along when we learned about poor images and the internet ugly aesthetic, because after so long living in a society where 1080p was the norm and the only acceptable form, these instead are making a comeback and people are spending time (clearly because they're procrastinating by making these memes) to make images like this. I've got a lot of work to do, and hopefully it turns out as great as I'm imagining it. For now, I'll leave you with a meme perfect at this time of the quarter.
