Although You May Start Out Looking for a Yellow Sky You May Prefer a Pink One Once You See It, 2010

Editor and archivist Danny Snelson presents his ongoing research into digital remediation and the network culture facilitating online screening environments. Patching together flash versions of classic avant-garde films, personal desktop browser narratives, live typing procedures, database poetry, and new media lectures, Although You May Start Out Looking for a Yellow Sky You May Prefer a Pink One Once You See It explores the manifold implications of a cinematic culture undergoing a rapid and enigmatic process of media translation. The two-panel projection will be expanded by a console streaming a live video chat with Snelson, who will be available for questions before and after the screening.
