Published as a surprise multiple on speaking at the retirement party of Charles Bernstein as part of a performance entitled:
A Close Misreading of the Bernstein’s First Works in Anticipation of April 4th, 2019, or,
An Un-Re-De-Veiling of Asylums Parsing Shade(s of) Poetic Justice, or
A Nod to Ancient Astronaut Theory as Literary Method,
And/Or Direct/Hit
The publication is a facsimile, or, rather, a layered compilation of printed facsimiles of poor JPGs from Eclipse—from Bernstein’s first four books. The titles, read in sequence, almost make a sentence: “Asylums Parsing Shade(s of) Poetic Justice”—here presented in a Veiled edition in 26 lettered copies.
Timing is tricky. Retrospection is suspect. As if the clocks by their very gears had hold of us. Or so I’ve been lead to misread.
