Telephone

The critical reading I did was "I Cheated Youtube for 5 Months and Finally got Caught," where our culture's obsession with popularity and internet fame surfaced. In this article, the writer discusses how Youtube has had many issues with people faking their views in order to receive more money and recognition. This was interesting when reading the creative works in the dead media project, where string telephones and typewriters were discussed. It is amazing to think about how far technology has come. There was no world in a type writer for people to gain fame and fake popularity. When people used typewriters they had to have talent, and create. Now, everything seems so artificial. In the creative work "Eclipse - Dracula," every other page doesn't not appear to show up completely and the words on the pages that do show up are harsh and match the tone of the pictures, font, and page style. The next creative work I viewed was lighter than the Dracula one and it was "Poems Porn" on Instagram. Poems and pictures alternate on the page to give a certain aesthetic. It all seems so romantic.
